Norma Eleanor Edam Kaschube Norma Eleanor Edam was born on Jun 28, 1929 to parents Wilbert and Otelia (Schan) Edam in Sidney, MT. She graduated from the Sidney Hight School with the class of 19487. She farmed and ranched north of Brockton for 35 years. Norma also taught in the Biem and Mineral Bench schoold. Norma was active in ONO Homemakers with other ladies in the Biem Community. They did mulitiple service projects including compliling a history of the homesteaders in the community, and placing road signs. she was also active in the Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Poplar, but kept ties with the church in Sidney as well. she was an Education Director and a religious education teacher. Norma also participated in the Altar Society Guild. She was a 4 - H parent and leader. She oversaw projects as diverse as rasing a steer to baking a cake sometimes on the same day. She was an involved parent driving 100's of miles each year to support her kids in 4-H, band, choir and drams. Morma died on sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Stillwater Community Clinic Hospital in Columbus, MT. Norma is survived by: her son, Leo (Geneva) Kaschube, Columbus, MT: a daughter, Corrine (Lorin) Kveseth, Eagle River, AK: brothers , Dale (Bev) Edam, Great Falls, MT.: sisters, Dora O'Connor, Great Falls, MT. and Shirley Edam , Great Falls, MT. ; grandchildren, Maggie (Charlie), Justice both of Columbus, MT. and Chris, of Eagle River, AK. Morma was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ethel. Mom, you have lived the good life and now we know you are free from pain and suffering.
