Dale Keith Russell died in St. Vincent's Hospital, Toledo , following a brief battle with cancer. He was the assistant chief of the Woodville Volunteer Fire Department and had been employed as chief engineer at the Ohio Lime Company in Woodville for 28 years. He was born in Platteville, Wis., Jan. 1 1923 and married Joyce E. Perkings in St. Louis . Mo . while serving in the service of his country during W.W. 2. He graduated from the Unitversity of MIssour and served in W.W. 2 in the South Pacific. He had been very active in the Boy Scouts and held the Lone Star Eagle Scout Award and was a member of the National Eagle Scout Association. Dale Keith was a member of the fire department for 25 years and assistant chief since 1975. He was a member of the American Legion and of the Nugent's Canal Yacht Club in Port Clinton, Oh. Burial was in the Westwood Cemetery where the American Legion held graveside military rites.
