Strutt Family Tree

Joanne Lucille Reese was born in Dodgeville, Wisconsin at the General Hospital on January 25, 1931. She was raised in the house with her brothers and sisters that her mother grew up in. She worked in a restaurant that her mother owned and also at a truck stop outside the city. Also was employed in the threater where she sold tickets. She graduated from high school in Dodgeville, Wi, and attended the University of Dubuque, where she received her education in Music. After marrying Donald Strutt they lived in Davenport, Ia. while he finished his education. Moving to McGregor, Ia. in 1952 Joanne started directing the Methodist Choir in Jan of 1953 and has been on the church board there. She has been on the library board, Seminary advisory board to the University of Dubuque Board, Appointment committee for the Iowa Judges, Performing Arts Board, McGregor Park Board, and member of the Eastern Star and past Rainbow Mother Advisor. She worked at the North Iowa Times (a McGregor Newspaper) when she and Don owned in it the 1960's. "Jo" loves being with people and works at the Strutt Chiropractic Clinic at the front desk. On March 17, 2001 Jo and her husband, Don, celebrated 50 years of marriage.
