Greetings,

The Opera House Players continue to work diligently to finish the restoration of the historic Elkader Opera House. As a 501(3)c non-profit organization we have funded this project to assure that theater and other events continue to have a local venue. This past year, we continued with our work backstage, and in the new downstairs "green room". We continue updating theater lighting, and are on the way to a major update with our sound system. The Opera House Players once again sponsored, free of charge to participants, a week long theater camp for area youth with Missoula Children's Theater.

Your continued response to our annual membership drive is extremely gratifying! We will continue to do all we can to keep our ticket prices low. This enables more families and area residents to experience theater close to home. We have ambitious plans for future productions. The Opera House recently successfully hosted Herman's Hermits and will soon welcome back Riders in the Sky, and The Smother's Brothers. The OHP will continue upgrading the lighting and sound equipment in the theater in order to entice more performers of that caliber to the Elkader Opera House. You can help those plans and others come to fruition by becoming a supporting member of the Opera House Players.

A small annual membership donation of $25 or more will keep the Opera House Players growing and providing even more fantastic theater experiences for our area. As a thank you to those who become Members (individuals) or Patrons (businesses) at $25 or more, we will be offering early ticket purchases to OHP shows so that you can get the seats you want. Your tax deductible gift will put you on a special mailing list. You will be notified approximately two weeks prior to when tickets go on sale to the general public. Only Members and Patrons will be able to purchase tickets during that time.
